Company History
        Martin Mathiowetz started The Mathiowetz Construction Company in 1924 in Leavenworth, Minnesota.
It was started as a small operation using self-constructed grading equipment.

Richard J. Mathiowetz assumed leadership of the growing operation after graduating from High School in 1953.
The company grew and expanded into Federal and State Highway projects, County and Township work, and all types of Commercial and
Private Site work.
In 1981,
Brian J. Mathiowetz
assumed some management duties in the project management staff and office
oversight.
Mathiowetz Construction Company thrived under the leadership Richard
Mathiowetz until he passed on the project management
duties and organization to Brian J. Mathiowetz in 1998. This allowed him to focus on tireless advocacy of transportation
funding and reforms, working with Minnesota Department of Transportation, the State of Minnesota governing bodies and the
Transportation Groups that work for our industry's preservation and improvement.

The management team has evolved over the past several years to an exciting mix of management and field supervisory
staff that strives to excel in all aspects of earth moving while continuing to be good stewards of our environment and state.
